Course Director will be Professor Ehtisham Abassi backed up with tutors from the Green Economics Institute, founded in 2003 which run the worlds leading green academic journal and are global leaders and experts in their field and publish regularly in a variety of books, magazines and speak all over the world on these subjects.

The Green Economics Institute is also a publishing house, www.geibooks.org.uk and are very active at the United Nations on climate change, climate science, climate finance, biodiversity, nature, finance for development etc running regular events and exhibition stands at the COPs and other United Nations Events around the world. Students may be eligible to participate in some of these activities subject to briefings and suitability and interests.
1 week Summmer School covering everything to do with Green Finance, Green Economics, Sustainability, United Nations Financial Initiatives, Finance for Development, Governance, Ethics, Green Cultures etc. This is all in a multidisciplinary, international flavour and context from some of the worlds leading developers of these ideas.
The tutors and lecturers are leaders in their fields. They will introduce you to the latest practice, literature and ideas in these fields and international initiatives and developments.
You can depend on 21 years of the Green Economics Institute to inspire you and light your way in the challenging and chaotic world of today.

If you wish to write, we are a publishers and we have the worlds leading green academic journal, and some magazines and a host of books, and you may also have the opportunity to learn how to publish your work.
To be held at The H B Allen Centre, part of Keeble College, University of Oxford, week 1 3-7th August 2026 Monday to Friday. To include at least 2 outings field trips locally and in introduction to Oxford and its history and walking tours of Oxford.
There will be lectures, workshops, keynotes, student presentations, and a certificates ceremony at the end for participants. The course is CPD suitable.
Additionally accommodation for the week, is available to purchase at very very reasonable rates at our field centre locally, in dormitories(Subject to enough students uptake). Please see the latest tickets to book this.
N. B. Students can take this one week, week 1 August 2026 course and can add on two or three other courses in weeks 2 and 3 and 4 on similar themes. Please let us know for how many weeks you would like to participate. Email us to discuss your specific requirements.

Price per person for this course £1000.00 Accommodation Very reasonable dormitory accommodation is available to purchase additionally on this website subject to enough people booking in time. Additional course days or weeks. You are welcome to add on any number of course weeks. Up to a maximum of 4 weeks in August 2026 as we have 3 other summer schools running consecutively. They are all priced slightly differently as they are each very distinctive but complimentary. This course is held in week 1 of August 2026. Application Procedure.
